AVPA's Founder to be Honored and Inducted into the Long Island Volunteer Hall of Fame

The Long Island Volunteer Hall of Fame honors founders of non-profits, lifetime achievers in volunteerism and with the Next Generation Award, youth who have made an impact in their community with their volunteer work. Maida Cherry, the founder of the Association of Professional Volunteer Administrators is being honored for founding this wonderful networking and professional development organization. Congratulations Maida! Thank you for all you have done getting the APVA off to a great start! Maida is currently an honorary board member of the APVA, after her retirment from the field.
